The nominations for the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Wednesday morning and the list features a number of Boston-area stars and productions.

On the film side, Spotlight earned two nominations this year, including an Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role nod for Rachel McAdam’s portrayal of Boston Globe reporter Sacha Pfeiffer. The Boston-set flick also earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and will be going head-to-head against several top contenders like The Big Short, which stars Massachusetts native Steve Carell.

Black Mass, however, only scored one nomination, an Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role nod for Johnny Depp’s spooky take on the infamous Whitey Bulger.

A few television stars with local ties also snagged nominations.

Medford native Uzo Aduba is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series thanks to her role in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. She’ll be going up against Amy Poehler as the Burlington native has one more shot at taking home some gold for her work on Parks and Recreation.

Boston-bred comic Louis CK may take home a SAG Award as well as he’s up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on the FX series Louie.
