Radio 92.9 released the full lineup for the 23rd annual EarthFest on Friday morning.

The headliner for this year’s festival is a special one, as indie pop group Fitz and the Tantrums will be making their only Boston appearance of the summer at the event. The 2016 lineup will also feature performances by Canadian rockers The Strumbellas as well as New York state’s Joywave, who recently made an appearance at this year’s Coachella.

Joining the music stars will be the winner of EarthFest’s local band contest, which is still accepting applications through Sunday, April 24.

In addition to music, the festival will also feature environmental-themed displays organized by various non-profit groups from around New England, as well as an interactive exhibit called Kids Planet for children 12 and under. Family friendly activities include educational exhibits that will teach kids about worms, how composting works, growing food locally, and more.

The annual concert event returns to the DCR Hatch Memorial Shell by Boston’s Esplanade on Saturday, May 21. Gates will open at 10 a.m., with Kids Planet activities set to kick off at 10:30 a.m. Music will take over the main stage starting at 11:15 a.m.
