David Ortiz Partied with Kevin Hart on Friday Night

It’s been less than a week since David Ortiz officially said goodbye to the Fenway faithful after the Red Sox’s tough loss in the playoffs to the Indians, but that didn’t stop Big Papi from enjoying his first Friday of retirement.
The Boston sports legend partied with comic Kevin Hart and a host of other celebrities at Mohegan Sun over the weekend. Ortiz attended a special after party following Hart’s hosting duties at Friday night’s 20th anniversary comedy all-star gala, which included performances by Sarah Silverman, Margaret Cho, Dave Atell, and Keith Robinson.
Big Papi and the superstar comedian had some fun on the red carpet before heading into the Connecticut casino’s Avalon nightclub for an evening of music by DJ Ruckus.

Since they say laughter is the best medicine, hopefully hanging out with Hart took some of the sting out of Ortiz’s rough final game.
The pair of stars were joined by a few other famous faces at the festivities, including The Bachelorette‘s JoJo Fletcher and her fiancé Jordan Rodgers, The Magnificent Seven actor Martin Sensmeier, country singer Jessie James Decker, and Pretty Little Liars actress Torrey DeVitto.
In addition to partying the night away, Big Papi also got the chance to play a little blackjack during a tournament, which featured Hart as a dealer.
