Consultation
Just like with any other procedure, always take the time to talk to your dental professional about what treatment is best for you. In many offices, you may even be able to get a group consultation in order to receive multiple opinions. Filandrianos and his coworkers, for example, use a multidiscipline approach to examine a patient. “When you come in, you get a whole group, not just one doctor,” he says. “It’s really a neat thing when you can consult and see two or three doctors at the same appointment. It’s like 60 years of experience all together.”
Not only should professionals talk with you prior to agreeing to anything, but they should also make you feel like you are the star of the show. Dentists should always gather as much information as possible from you when planning to truly figure out what is the smartest for you and your teeth as well as how they can look the best they can. Berik says she is a perfectionist when it comes to her clients’ teeth and experiences, and is maybe even a “smidge obsessed.” Filandrianos and Chiou say that each of their patients get treated like they are VIP, and will get a personalized experience each visit. “We believe in taking the time to get to know each and every one of our patients,” Chiou says, “and at our small, but cutting-edge dental practice, you’ll get the individual attention and dental results that you deserve.”
