Girls’ Day Out: Shop and Talk 2011

Instead of spending this Saturday strolling Newbury searching for deals, head to the Shop and Talk event at Venu and Rumor nightclub, where you can score enough free samples and services to get you glammed up for a night on the town.

After a three-year hiatus, the Shop and Talk luxury shopping event is back and bigger than ever, with offerings from more than 35 vendors. Try out a new makeup look or hairstyle, score discounts from local boutiques, and taste an array of food and drink samples (Pucker Vodka, Popchips, Hint Water, and Pretzel Crisps are among the choices). There will also be an art gallery for your viewing pleasure, as well as a chance to test the hair-feather craze (though we’d advise against it) with the help of a stylist from Savas Studios.

You’ll also have a chance to contribute to a good cause — and take home some awesome stuff — by purchasing a LUX gift bag, sales of which will benefit the Ellie Fund. The bags will include passes to both Equinox and Healthworks gyms, discounts to Boston boutiques, samples, gift certificates, and more — a value of more than $100.
There’s a choice of two time slots to attend the event, so either play it casual and hit the morning session, or come later and be prepared to party! Either way, get ready for a stress-free Saturday of pampering.
