A Fashionista Field Trip
The horrors of holiday shopping are approaching: Shoving, trampling, and the occasional game of tug-of-war aren’t enough to keep most Bostonians from shopping on Black Friday and the days following. This year, Wrentham Village Premium Outlets is hosting a “Fashionista’s Field Trip” on a not-so-black Saturday, November 5, offering discounts at Tahari, Theory, and Vince Camuto, plus a complimentary cupcake from Sweet.
Shoppers will be picked up by Boston Common Coach at one of two Sweet Cupcakes locations (Harvard Square or Mass. Ave.) and shuttled to Wrentham where they can leisurely spend the afternoon browsing the goods at Burberry, Barney’s New York, Michael Kors, and the recently opened Bloomingdale’s outlet.
“The fall is a wonderful time to explore the outlets,” says Susan Bladd, marketing director for the Outlets, when asked what inspired this event. “We put this trip together for friends to enjoy a fun, stress-free excursion to the outlets on a luxury coach while supporting a fantastic cause.”
Not only will holiday shopping be stress-free without traffic and angry mobs, but participants can take comfort knowing that 25 percent of ticket sales will benefit the Boston chapter of Dress for Success, a non-profit that provides professional clothing and a support network for disadvantaged women seeking employment. How’s that for cultivating holiday cheer?
Saturday, November 5, $40, Pick up times: 11am at the Harvard Square Sweet Cupcakes and 11:30 a.m. at the Mass. Ave. Sweet Cupcake location, Tickets can be purchased here.
