Take a few hours out of your busy holiday schedule — procuring presents, preparing for relatives, and baking cookies, oh my! — to revel in the season at one of these holiday shopping events. You can hit one almost every night for the next week.
– Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll
6-9 p.m., Dec. 6
Head to Charles Street for Victorian carolers, a brass band, and horse-and-buggy rides. Bring the kids along for a picture with Santa, or to watch the annual tree lighting. Crush, one of the participating shops, will pass out champagne and treats while you save 15 percent on purchases.
– North End: Buon Natale Holiday Shopping Stroll
7-11 p.m., Dec. 7
Visit the North End’s many boutiques, galleries, and design studios — including Exhale Spa, Acquire, Shake the Tree, Luke Aaron, and more — for refreshments, discounts, as well as validated parking.
– Newbury Street Holiday Stroll
12-4 p.m., Dec. 8
Get into the holiday spirit with live entertainment and an appearance by Santa Claus and his elves. There’ll be games and prizes for the little ones, and discounts at participating retailers for mom and dad.
– South End: Holiday Shopping Night
4-8 p.m., Dec. 12
Stroll through the South End to take advantage of one-night-only deals from restaurants and retailers — with plenty of food and wine along the way. Shoppers get free parking at the 500 Harrison St. lot, as well as a community map that makes navigating the bargains even easier.
– Fort Point: Holiday Stroll
4-8 p.m., Dec. 14
Special offers and freebies at this waterfront stroll include mini gingerbread cakes at Flour, hot libations at Drink, and one-week passes to Channel Fitness (for those who want to jump-start their impending New Year’s resolutions, sigh).
– Inman by Moonlight
7 p.m.-midnight, Dec. 15
Stop by Inman Square after hours for a night of enchanting carolers, live performances, and a wide array of complimentary drinks and treats — there’s even a free wine tasting at A-Wines for the adult crowd.
