Welcoming Spring With Kate Spade
Kate Spade stylist Brad Goreski and creative director Deborah Lloyd (above) greeted guests and introduced the designer’s spring collection Thursday at Bloomingdale’s in Chestnut Hill. Models came out barefoot and un-accessorized and Brad and Deborah highlighted top trends — preppy florals, pops of color, bows, and head-to-toe hues — by adding shoes, bags, and jewelry to the ensembles, while asking the audience for their favorite fashion advice.
We chatted with Goreski and Lloyd after the show — read on for their answers and advice and to see photos from the night…
Bostonista: What is one look you are coveting for spring?
Brad: A total matchy-matchy look. Dress me in gingham from head to toe!
Deborah: That pink lace jacket (above, right). I’m going back to New York and getting it tonight.
Bostonista: What is your biggest fashion-don’t for spring?
Brad: There are no fashion-don’ts. Be true to yourself and dress however makes you happy.
Bostonista: If you could travel anywhere right now to escape the winter, where would you go?
Brad: London
Deborah: Antigua, right now!
