Boston Fashion Week: Nude. Local Talent Exposed
Who said Fashion Week looks are unattainable? Last night’s “nude. Local Talent Exposed” show gave Boston fashionistas the chance to immediately purchase the designer goods that they saw, as the venue at BOND Restaurant and Lounge was transformed into a pop-up boutique with handmade items straight from the runway.
Designers who presented at the show included Jonathan Joseph Peters (who competed on Project Runway), Jess Abernethy, Yellow Clover by Sarah Prost, Amy Stetkiewicz, Kent Stetson, and Susan Troy. Peters and Abernethy brought the group together — they are based out of Rhode Island’s historic Arcade—after they met at StyleWeek Providence.
Peters and Abernethy prep a model for the runway in Abernethy’s wool blazer, Peters’s mint full skirt, and Troy’s sleeveless bamboo chemise.
The designers opted for nude makeup to complement their pieces. With six very different styles, the designers decided to work within a color story going from soft and feminine to neutral, then transitioning into bold and quirky, and finally finishing with a “sleek city gal on the go,” as described by Peters.
Stetkiewicz’s lamb-leather dress paired with Stetson’s “New Arcade” oversized clutch was the first look of the night.
The Yellow Clover “Aria” cocktail dress and Stetson embossed lambskin clutch.
Stetson’s urban “Chain Reaction” purple clutch with Troy’s linen and burnout silk dress.
Peters’s cotton boucle jacket wowed over Troy’s bamboo dress. Stetson’s mixed-media hide satchel accompanied the look.
A Yellow Clover “Coventina” top with bamboo “Sydney” leggings from Troy, with the fun and flirty addition of Stetson’s “Donuts!” clutch.

Stetkiewicz’s lamb-leather color-block shirt topped Abernethy’s silver high-low skirt, adorned with a “Chain Reaction” clutch from Stetson in beige.
