Spotlight On the Community Servings Annual Life Savor
Last week, Community Servings celebrated their 22nd annual “Life Savor” event at The Langham, Boston. The not-for-profit organization provides warm meals and nutrition education for people living with critical and chronic illness.
Over 800 VIPs mingled at the event’s cocktail reception while bidding on themed silent auction items and popping surprise raffle balloons. Flowing wine, food stations, and passed bites were easy to come by, but the awkward layout of the crowded event made it hard to navigate. After a small speaking program, guests boarded trolleys en route to some of the area’s finest restaurants, including Harvest, L’Espalier, Erbaluce, Meritage, Tico, and Rialto.
Spotted were Community Servings CEO David Waters; interior designer Dennis Duffy; restaurateur Mary Catherine Deibel; the stylish Anthony Corey; and radio star Oedipus. The mostly after-work attire made for tough style-scouting, but we managed to find some standouts:
Amy Hyson in a gray and black dress and funky gray hoodie, all pieces she picked up in Thailand.
B52s frontman, Fred Schneider in a bright orange Joe Fresh jacket, Armani shirt, black jeans and sparkly shoes.
Assistant to Community Servings CEO and project administrator, Dina Dell’ollio, in a Tracy Reese dress, Calvin Klein shoes and a vegan clutch she picked up in CA.
