Versace Opening First Boston Store in Copley Place

Donatella Versace brings her refined sense of Italian style to Boston this month with the opening of a brand-new boutique at Copley Place. Designed by English architect and frequent Versace collaborator Jamie Fobert, the 2,700-square-foot space blends traditional Italian architecture (ninth-century mosaic floors) with chic modern elements (Perspex walls and floating shelves). To commemorate the brand’s inaugural Boston outpost, Versace is releasing an eye-catching limited-edition line of “Palazzo” shoes and bags in metallic red, silver (pictured), and blue as a tribute to the city’s revolutionary history. Embellished with textural finishes and a tone-on-tone Medusa head, these new pieces will have your wardrobe speaking a stylish Romance language all its own.
