Team IMPACT, a nonprofit matching children with life-threatening and chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, hosted its fifth annual sports-themed fundraiser in the Seaport World Trade Center on April 26, 2017. Notable attendees included Bob Kraft, Dion Lewis, and Wendi Nix, who served as emcee for the night’s programming. Overall, the event raised over $1.8 million to support Team IMPACT’s ongoing mission. The gala celebrated five life-changing years, more than 1,100 children matched and 35,000 participating college athletes from over 450 schools. The star-studded event featured a high-end live and silent auction featuring prizes such as throwing out the first pitch at Fenway, travel with the team to a Patriots away game, vacation packages to the Ritz-Carlton Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico, the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, and skiing in Squaw Valley, a meet and greet with Ed Sheeran and backstage passes/tickets to The Late Show with Stephen Colbertand an Audi convertible raffled off by Prime Motor Group.
