Critics say this city has no style. We’re here to prove them wrong. Welcome to HubThreads, where we chat with the most stylish people we find out and about in Boston. Think you or someone you know has the best street style? Let us know.

CHRISTAH

Do you live in Boston? I was born in Boston, but I live in Paris now.

What do you do? I’m a dancer and a fashion designer.

Are you wearing anything that you made? Yes, I mostly do metal work, so I’m wearing all of my work on my hands.

This is all you?! These are amazing! The earrings are mine too. I made these pants too actually. I was inspired by Givenchy because they’re using this red a bunch this season. I love this color.

How did you end up in Paris? I was doing an internship in Quebec for a little metalworking company, and they just shipped me over to Paris. I didn’t have much choice, but lucky me!

How long have you lived there? I’ve been there about a year and a half. I love it, it’s a big blessing.

What kind of dance do you do? I was trained as a classic ballerina, but now I do more contemporary and modern stuff. I’m part of a little experimental dance company in Paris.

You have the life! My life is good, yeah. Every life is good though!

What brings you to Boston today? I’m just back for a visit. I gotta keep the ties going, I gotta spread the love. My family is here and so are a lot of my friends.

What inspires your style? In terms of a person or a brand?

Both! Ok, I really love a designer called Iris van Herpin. She uses a bunch of really funky fabrics to create geometric patterns that really highlight the natural feminine figure really beautifully. She’s Dutch, you should look her up. Her clothes are works of art honestly. And Gucci of course. I love Janis Joplin. And of course myself!

How would you describe your own style? That’s a good question. I think it changes every day. I think I really like to embody characters when I dress myself, so its not necessarily becoming someone else, but showing a different facet of who I am. I think it changes every day, sometimes I’m really whacky and other days I’m a little rock ‘n roll.

What’s today? Today actually, I think is my conservative day, my “I don’t really give a shit day.” I don’t know, I’d say ’90s, maybe a little punky.

Is that a Diesel jacket? Yeah, vintage Diesel, funky right?

I like your eyeliner too. I’m a crazy person for silver. Anything silver, I love.

And it looks like you were testing makeup out on your hand. Yup, you got me. Can I swear in this?

Yes, but I don’t even remember you swearing. Ok then I didn’t.
