In the wake of yesterday’s tragedy, it’s easy to feel helpless. But if you’re looking for something you can do, consider giving blood. Though the Red Cross tweeted yesterday that there is currently enough on shelves to meet demand, organizations and area hospitals are encouraging people to schedule a donation appointment for the coming days and weeks. Here’s where you can do it:

The American Red Cross has a Boston blood donation location on Tremont Street, as well as centers in Danvers, Worcester, Braintree, Raynham, Dedham, and Springfield. Visit redcrossblood.org for more information.
