The 37th Annual John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo at the Hynes Convention Center opened Friday and is expected to attract more than 100,000 attendees over its three day run, including the 36,000 official Boston Marathon runners who will pick up their bibs in the same building.

Like salmon swimming upstream, we braved hordes of running aficionados and their fans to get a close look at the 200 exhibitors showcasing their goods. For those of you who prefer the sidelines, there’s still plenty of booths for you to check out (including free Sam Adams 26.2 beer). The expo is free and open to the public.
