Yoga at Fenway Park Is Back
For the second consecutive year, Boston-area yogis will get the opportunity to practice yoga on the holiest ground in the city: Fenway Park.
The Red Sox Foundation, in partnership with KIND Healthy Snacks, will hold yoga sessions (two morning classes at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.) at Fenway Park Sunday, June 8. “FenwaYoga” (as it’s dubbed) raises funds for two of the foundation’s cornerstone programs, the Red Sox Scholars Program (provides college scholarships, tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment programs to financially disadvantaged Boston public middle school students) and the RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Programs (serves more than 2,000 inner city teens each summer using the sport to promote healthy choices and valuable life-skills).
Each class can fit 222 participants who will practice their poses along the warning track. Both classes will be led by celebrity yoga instructor Mandy Ingber, who Jennifer Aniston told me last week is her “everything.” The two practice together four to five days a week.
Interested participants must raise a minimum of $250 for the Red Sox Foundation. For more information and to sign up visit fenwayoga.com.
