Boston is no stranger to fun 5Ks. We have the upcoming Wipeout Run and Color Me Rad race to look forward to this summer. Now, we can add another fun run to the list: The Electric Run.

The race will come to the Gillette Stadium area on October 2, with registration beginning April 6. We say “area” because details are very limited (the website has yet to release a course map or any other specific information). Organizers list “Gillette Stadium” as the venue, but that said, there is no way they can set up this kind of course inside the stadium during the Pats season, right? We assume that it will take place in the parking lot of Patriots Place, where other similar races have occurred. We have reached out to the Electric Run and will update this post when we have more to share.

The race is a nighttime 5K with an EDM after-party (read: lots of glow sticks). Participants receive a glow pen, a glow-in-the-dark T-shirt, and an LED bracelet but are encouraged to wear “illuminating lights, neon gear, and crazy bright colors,” according to the Electric Run’s website.
