Watch a Rock Star Doc Jam Out on Stage with the Foo Fighters
The Foo Fighters played two shows at Fenway this past weekend, and it looks like Dave Grohl’s broken leg is not slowing him down. In fact, his orthopedic surgeon, Baltimore-based Dr. Lew C. Schon, joined him on stage for a cover of the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.”
After the song, Grohl gave his doc a shout out, saying: “Holy shit, that’s actually my doctor. What a bad ass.”
Schon isn’t the only rock star doc to grace our city. Rudy Tanzi, an Alzheimer’s researcher at Mass General, who was recently named to Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential list, is also a rock star of science. When he isn’t making breakthroughs in Alzheimer’s research, or writing books with Deepak Chopra, you can find him jamming on the keyboard with his buddy Joe Perry.
