The Light Battle Tour Is Coming to Boston

If you took Boston Sports Clubs’ Star Wars-inspired fitness class this winter, it’s time to show off your moves.
The Light Battle Tour announced this week that it’s bringing its weird, colorful spectacular to Boston this spring. Wannabe Jedis can battle it out on May 28.
The tour isn’t actually affiliated with Star Wars, so the story behind the battle will look a little unfamiliar: It pits “space warlocks” (people with red swords) against “space wizards” (everybody else). The event is free if you BYOS (bring your own sword), but equipment is also for sale on the company’s website, with a dollar from each purchase going to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Boston was selected as a tour location based on online voting. It’s also making stops in San Jose, Sacramento, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Grand Rapids, and Chicago.
And, since the company’s December tour won the coveted world record of Largest Light Sword Battle, helping to surpass that turnout could be your ticket to fame—or at least a cool party story.
Free, 5/28, 8 p.m. Location TBD. Register and find more information at thelightbattle.com.
