Harvard Ranked Best Medical School In the Country

Ready for some bragging rights? Boston is officially home to the best hospital and medical school in the country.

Harvard Medical School took top honors in U.S. News and World Report‘s research medical school rankings, a category it has dominated for years. Since Massachusetts General Hospital took first in the most recent hospital rankings, it’s safe to call Boston the medical capital of the country these days.

U.S. News released its full 2017 graduate school rankings Wednesday. The rankings also placed Harvard 17th for best primary care medical schools, a category won by University of Washington. Boston University took 29th on the research list, followed by Tufts at 47th.

In other health categories, Boston University ranked first in occupational therapy; Harvard ranked second in public health, followed by BU at number 10; and Tufts ranked 10th in veterinary medicine.
