Join Thousands of Runners for the Runkeeper Global 5K

On May 28 or 29, your daily jog could be accompanied by 100,000 running partners—at least in spirit.
Later this month, Boston-founded Runkeeper will hold its second-ever Global 5K, during which runners from all over the world are invited to head out for a 5K (3.1-mile) run in their respective cities. The goal is to amass more participants than the first “race,” which drew 101,561 runners from 182 countries when it was held in December.
All you have to do is register through Runkeeper’s website, then track a 5K run in the app on either May 28 or 29. If you want to make the day feel a bit more official, you can also create a customized race bib through the registrant portal, or post in the online forum to find running buddies in your area.
You know what they say: Exercise is always more bearable with thousands upon thousands of friends at your metaphorical side.
