Get a Flu Shot with Marty Walsh
If your doctor’s urging and your mother’s nagging haven’t convinced you to get a flu shot yet, maybe Mayor Walsh can. Walsh has pledged to get vaccinated Wednesday, and you can join him.
Walsh will be taking part in the Boston Public Health Commission’s (BPHC) annual free flu shot clinic, and he wants you to suck it up and do the same. The drive will be held Wednesday at City Hall, in the O’Neill Room on the eighth floor, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Walsh is planning to be there at 11 a.m., according to an announcement.
Everybody is welcome to stop by the event for a free shot. If you are insured, organizers recommend bringing your insurance card.
Getting a shot is an easy way to keep yourself and others healthy this winter, as you likely know. But let’s be honest, the real appeal here is the historic opportunity to sit alongside Mayor Walsh as he stops influenza in its tracks. We can only assume you’ll be bragging for years to come.
Free, 11/9, 10 a.m. City Hall, O’Neill Room, Eighth Floor, 1 City Hall Square, Boston.
