You Can Take Hip Hop Yoga with DMC

An Equinox fundraiser is taking hip hop yoga to a whole new level.

Not content to throw on a Spotify playlist and call it a day, the luxury gym is hosting a hip hop yoga class that’s followed by a live performance from Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, one third of the legendary group RUN-DMC. After that, there will be a meet-and-greet with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Casual.

Proceeds from the event, which kicks off at 6 p.m. on March 23, benefit the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, which improves the lives of local inner city youth, and McDaniels’ Felix Organization, which provides opportunities to children in foster care. Participants are encouraged to raise at least $500, though a few mats are available for a $75 buy-in.
