Julian Edelman Will Appear in the ESPN Body Issue

Cover star Isaiah Thomas has some very good company in ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue.

Patriots wide receiver and known shirt hater Julian Edelman will also take part in the magazine’s annual clothing-free celebration of sport. He appears in a video compilation revealing (no pun intended) the 23 athletes featured in the issue, and seems to be very nonchalant about the whole thing.

“My body’s my temple. That’s why I like to feed it burgers,” he deadpans, before the camera shows him posing with a patty. “One burger a day to keep the conditioning away.” (Photographic evidence suggests this is not the case.)

The issue will also spotlight members of the national women’s hockey team, including Boston Pride players Brianna Decker, Meghan Duggan, and Kacey Bellamy. Former Bruin Joe Thornton is also featured.

The Body Issue hits newsstands July 7. In the meantime, you can watch the full video here.
