Many exercise experts will tell you that early-morning workouts are the way to go, giving you a boost of energy and potentially even helping you burn more fat. But crack-of-dawn sweat sessions aren’t for everyone—which is why we compiled this list of late-night fitness classes and events happening around Boston. Snooze on, night owls.

Pilates After Dark

Endurance Pilates and Yoga, in the South End, is hosting free nighttime, outdoor Pilates classes every Tuesday for the rest of the summer. Endurance will supply some illuminating accessories, and students are encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark clothing.

Free, Tuesdays, 8:15 p.m. Blackstone Park, 1535 Washington St., Boston, endurancepilatesandyoga.com.

Full Moon Yoga

Local instructor Shira Brenner is hosting full moon flows for just 12 students on August 5 and September 16. In addition to a yoga class, there will be horoscope readings, meditation, and a fire burning ceremony. Contact Brenner to reserve your spot and learn the exact location.

$15, 8/5 and 9/16, 8 p.m. Somerville, shirabrenner.com.

MoonLight LateNight Yoga

This August 6 yoga class, which ends just after midnight, is for true night owls. And you won’t be able to beat the view: It takes place in front of the Boston Children’s Museum, so you’ll look out onto the twinkling skyline.

Suggested $10 donation, 8/6, 11 p.m. Boston Children’s Museum, 308 Congress St., Boston, facebook.com.

Full Moon SUP

In addition to its regular stand-up paddleboard yoga classes, SUP Sonas sometimes offers classes under the light of the full moon. Nighttime classes are slated for August 8 and September 10. (For what it’s worth, there will also be a special solar eclipse class on August 21.)

$45, 8/8 and 9/10, 7:30 p.m. Sunset Lake, Franklin St., Braintree, supsonas.com.

Starry Night Boston 5K

This annual evening walk and 5K, which is scheduled for September 9, raises money and awareness for children suffering from brain tumors. After the fitness festivities end, stay to enjoy food and music, and to light the night sky with lanterns.

Suggested fundraising goal of $300, 9/9, 5:30 p.m. Christian Herter Park, 1175 Soldiers Field Road, Brighton, pbtf.convio.net.

Yoga Under the Stars

On September 20, you can wind down your Wednesday with a free, outdoor yoga class at the Street, in Chestnut Hill. Look for an Eventbrite link with more details as the class date approaches.

Free, 9/20, 7 p.m. The Street at Chestnut Hill, 55 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill, thestreetchestnuthill.com.
