Looking for something a little different to do this Mother’s Day? We’ve rounded up some of the city’s health and fitness happenings during Mother’s Day weekend so you can rest assured that while you’re celebrating Mom, you’re also celebrating your health. With the occasional mimosa, draft beer, or special breakfast pastry in the mix as well.
Afternoon tea with Mem Tea
Enjoy afternoon tea with Mom at MEM Tea Imports in Cambridge where they have been sourcing, blending, and distributing teas from around the world since 1999. Alice’s Table and Xtend Barre have teamed up to bring you Barre and Blooms for Mother’s Day, where you can take part in a private barre class then learn the art of flower arranging. Don’t forget grip socks for the barre class and wear something you don’t mind getting a little dirty while working with flowers.

Mother’s Day Walk for Peace
This 22nd annual walk from Dorchester to City Hall aims to promote peace and raise $400,000 for the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, a resource for families affected by violence, crime, and grief. Walkers are encouraged to raise at least $100 each.

Mother’s Day Coconut Milk Foot Bath for two

Boston’s Mad Dash Scavenger Hunt
Searching for something completely outside the box for Mom this Mother’s Day? Why not send her on a scavenger hunt of the city? This one starts outside the Hard Rock Café at Faneuil Hall, and each group is split up into teams and sent on their way anywhere between the North End and Boston Common for two and a half hours of scavenging.

Sip and flow at Aeronaut

Learn Tai Chi

Turnstyle Cycle
Celebrate the holiday while making a difference. Turnstyle and Thin Blue Ride have teamed up for their fourth Pan-Mass Challenge. Funds raised from the event go directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institute for cancer research.
