Tuesday, May 8

Shack Track and Field Run: If a free shake or drink from Shake Shack isn’t enough motivation to go on a run, then we don’t know what is. Meet the Shack Track & Field team for a free community run along the Charles River, and loop back to the Shake Shack on Newbury St.

Free, 6-8 p.m., New Balance BOS, 583 Bolyston St., Boston, facebook.com

Wednesday, May 9

Perinatal Mental Health Awareness Day: Learn about postpartum depression from mental health advocate Timoria McQueen. The theme of this year’s talk will be “Promoting Recovery from Substance Use Disorder for Mothers and Families.”

Free, 12-3 p.m., Massachusetts State House, 24 Beacon St., Boston, facebook.com

Thursday, May 10

LUNG FORCE Walk: Walk for LUNG Force and the American Lung Association in order to raise both awareness and funds towards lung cancer research. The walk will start in the Boston Common. Registration is free, but walkers who raise or donate more than $33 will receive a free gift.

Free, 5-8 p.m., Boston Common, Charles St., Boston, action.lung.org.

Friday, May 11

Questival: Basically, you and up to five other people will explore every nook and cranny that Boston has to offer, while completing crazy challenges, all over a 24-hour, nonstop period. People swear by it, so if you’re into out-of-the-box adventures and want to win up to $5,000, this is the “questival” for you.

$48, 5 p.m. May 11- 7 p.m. May 12, Christopher Columbus Park, 200 Atlantic Ave., Boston, cotopaxi.com

Saturday, May 12

Chicken Run:  Is there a chicken costume in your closet, gathering dust? No? We can’t imagine why. Don’t worry, human runners can still participate. Celebrate 6 years of the Chicken & Rice Guys, and race through 2.62 miles for the chance to win Chicken & Rice Guys for a year. We do recommend showing up in costume, though. You’ll get a free t-shirt.

$31, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., Christian A. Herter Park, 1175 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, raceroster.com.

Weekend Wine Down: Justify a wine tasting with a 50-minute introductory vinyasa yoga class this weekend. All levels of yogis are welcome, so “wine” down and relax after the tough work week with this class/wine hybrid.

$38, 5-7:30 p.m., Exhale Spa Back Bay, 28 Arlington St., Boston, yourmeetup.com

Sunday, May 13

Mother’s Day 5K: Make this 5K run along the flat Charles River path a family event, with a 1,000 ft. kid’s fun run to kick it off. 100 percent of the run/walk’s proceeds will go towards charities such as Find the Cause Breast Cancer Foundation. The kids’ fun run is free, but there is a 5k registration fee.

$25, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., RACE Cancer Foundation, 119 Braintree ST., Boston, racemenu.com
