Galaxy printed jackets, clothes, and even nails were all the rage last year, but just in time for the Boston Marathon, New Balance released its annual limited edition Boston sneaker—and it is pretty awesome. As if the glow-in-the-dark feature isn’t cool enough, New Balance added Paul Revere on his horse (with his lantern!) and of course, its signature “Boston” right on the shoe. We tested the sneaker and it really does glow-in-the-dark (see photos below).

It’s called the Boston 890V3 and it’s inspired by Paul Revere’s famous ride. The sneaker is ultra-lightweight with neutral cushioning and comes in a midnight blue color. The glow-in-the-dark feature sort of looks like a starry night painting. The 890V3 retails for $114.95 and can be found at two Boston locations: New Balance (583 Boylston Street) and The Tannery (711 Boylston St.). The sneaker is also available at the New Balance Dedham location (218 Legacy Place).
