Now You Can Eat Like Beyoncé

When Jay and Bey famously went on their 22-day vegan diet back in the winter of 2013, it didn’t end there. On Monday, Queen Bey announced that she and exercise physiologist Marco Borges—her trainer, and the man behind the 22 Days Nutrition program—are together launching a plant-based, home delivery meal service. That’s right: Food. By. Beyoncé.
Borges designed the meal delivery service based on the philosophy that says it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. By day 22, the new—healthier—habit is formed. The meals are plant-based and naturally low in fat, sugar, and salt. Think: vegetables, beans, grains, herbs, and spices. If it’s good enough for Beyoncé…
“I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “He is the most energetic person, I know and it’s all because of his decision to live a healthy lifestyle. He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him.”
Borges says that it’s not about becoming a vegan, it’s about living a healthier lifestyle by incorporating more animal-free products into your diet. The service is available in Boston, and there are multiple plans to chose from. All items are non-GMO, gluten, soy, and dairy free, and delivered fresh to your door once a week. The prices ranges from $9.76 to $16.50 per meal, with a full 22-day, three-meal-a-day plan pricing out at $609.84.
“I am humbled by this incredible partnership and excited to share the many benefits of a whole-foods plant-based diet,” Borges said in a statement. “We all know the importance and value of eating plant-based foods but often times find ourselves trapped in a series of bad habits that sabotage optimum wellness. The Vegan Meal Delivery program makes it easier to reset your habits with healthy and delicious plant-based foods.”
