Boston’s First Indoor Running Studio Is Coming to the North End
Starting tomorrow, Bostonians will have a way to run that doesn’t involve battling the elements on the Esplanade all winter or dying of boredom at the gym: MyStryde, the city’s first indoor running studio.
“Indoor running studio” may seem like a clever euphemism for your gym’s cardio room, but the North End spot will offer a variety of classes that elevate the everyday treadmill slog. There’s Stryde, which incorporates sprints, endurance, and hills; Power Walk, for non-running cardio; Boot Camp, which combines running and strength; and more. A month of unlimited classes costs $250.
In addition to daily classes, MyStryde will sponsor marathon and half marathon training packages. Its website also promises outdoor classes starting in spring of this year.
MyStryde may be the city’s first running-only studio, but treadmill cardio has been a fixture in Boston’s fitness scene for years, from Barry’s Bootcamp to Tread Tabata.
