What’s for Breakfast? A Fitness Pro Shares Her Morning Meal
We don’t need to tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In this series, we’re asking some of Boston’s top doctors, fitness pros, and dietitians for a sneak peek into their kitchens, so we can see what’s on their breakfast table.
Sarah Dussault
Claim to fame: Dussault, also known as Sarah Fit, is a personal trainer, YouTube personality, and health blogger. As of a few weeks ago, she’s also mother to a baby boy.
What she ate: Cold oatmeal with sliced banana, walnuts, and chia seeds.
Why she chose it: “My breakfasts these days revolve around my newborn. I have been making a large batch of oatmeal on Monday mornings and eating the rest throughout the week,” she says. “Oatmeal is a good source of iron, and a healthy option that can be enjoyed warm or cold and tastes delicious. I added freshly sliced banana, walnuts, and chia seeds for extra sweetness, heart-healthy omega-3 fats, protein, and fiber. I often don’t get to eat lunch until 2 p.m., so it’s important to have a breakfast that energizes my day and fills me up.”
