A Truckload of Pets Is Coming to Boston

A literal truckload of adorable cats and dogs is coming your way.
The North Shore Animal League America (NSALA), the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue group, is once again hitting the road for its Tour for Life. The group’s rescue and adoption units are traveling across the country, teaming up with shelters nationwide to find animals loving homes.
For each of the tour’s 53 stops, NSALA’s team will populate its mobile adoption unit—essentially a truck converted into a temporary animal shelter—with adoptable animals currently living at shelters in the area. For the Boston stop, the animals up for adoption come from shelters such as Sudbury’s Buddy Dog and Wayland’s Guardian Angel Cat Rescue. Adoption fees will vary from shelter to shelter.
The tour stops at Boston Medical Center on April 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. BMC staff and visitors, as well community members, are invited to stop by to play with the pups, or to adopt a new friend.
