Boston Public Market to Open Seven Days a Week
The Boston Public Market is giving you one fewer reason to dread Mondays. Effective July 18, the year-round local food paradise will be open seven days a week, instead of its current Wednesday through Sunday schedule.
The change will come almost exactly a year after the market opened—and found near-immediate success—in July 2015. Since then, according to an announcement, the market has served more than a million shoppers, exceeding its original goals.
“Initial plans for the Market envisioned opening seven days a week down the line, and we are excited that we can do this even earlier than anticipated, based on a successful first year of operation,” CEO Cheryl Cronin said in a statement. “We’re delighted to have more opportunity to create a market community, offer education and programming, and provide fresh, local food from our vendors every day of the week.”
Once the new schedule takes effect, the marketplace’s hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
If this isn’t an excuse to celebrate with a vegan dessert, local glass of wine, or slice of avocado toast, we don’t know what is.
