About
Cynthia's focus is on family law litigation, collaborative law, and divorce mediation. She believes that family law is the most important and rewarding area of law in which a lawyer can practice. Divorce is a life changing event that forces one to reflect on who they are and what they want from life. Whether you are someone who is going through a divorce, or another serious family law matter, you need experienced, skilled, and compassionate representation to help navigate the process. Cynthia and her team are here to help.
Cynthia has practiced law for over 30 years and is admitted to the bar in both Massachusetts and New York. In addition to family law, her background includes experience in real estate and intellectual property matters (focus on artists, museums and non-profits). In 2000, she was formally trained as a mediator. Since that time, she has continued her training by taking advanced courses in divorce law, mediation and collaborative law. Over the past several years, she has trained new mediators in basic and divorce mediation for several area community mediation programs.
From 2007 through 2010, she was the Coordinator of Court and Divorce Mediation Services at a Community Mediation Center in Massachusetts. Currently, she is a Council member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Family Law Section. She is a member and former Director of the Massachusetts Council for Family Mediation. She is a member of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and former Co-Chair of the Charles River Collaborative Law Council, Cynthia graduated from Whittier College School of Law (J.D.) and Boston University (B.S.). She also received a Certificate in Museum Studies from Tufts University.
