March, of course, is the month when college basketball teams face off in the NCAA tournament. But we set out to tackle a hypothetical that has plagued many a pep rally: What if college mascots were actually to face off? We asked John Linehan, CEO of the Franklin Park Zoo, to use his three-decade career at the zoo, his degree in wildlife studies from the University of Maine, and his vivid imagination to pick the victor in a series of matchups between eight local mascots. Here are his rulings.
