Did Mike Napoli Hang Out with a Porn Star Last Night?
As Mike Napoli sat out several innings of Tuesday night’s game with a sore foot, the world watched and waited to hear about the extent of his injuries whether he planned to get busy with an adult film star who tweeted that she’d come to the game to see him play and hang out afterward.
As Masshole Sports noted, porn star Rachel Starr, whom you might know from such films as “My Sister’s Hot Friend 9,” tweeted the following before the game versus the Giants:
Looks like I’m going to the baseball game tonight in San Fran to see @MikeNapoli25 WIN!! Awwwwww can’t wait to hang out after!

(As an aside, do not click through to her Twitter account if you don’t want to see, well … what do you think you’re going to see there?) Her presence at the game appeared authentic because she also tweeted out a photo with a ticket:
I have the best tickets ever to see Red Sox @MikeNapoli25 win over the giants! With @iamgingerman pic.twitter.com/n84Zsi6l6w

(Starr seemed unaware that Napoli wouldn’t make an appearance until eight innings in because of his foot, after which he would ground out once and lose. Alas.) Over at Barstool Sports, former mayoral candidate El Presidente asked “Is Mike Napoli Getting It On Tonight with Rachel Starr or What?” Napoli, who is unmarried, has been having a bit of a slump. (An actual baseball hitting slump, guys, come on.) And so the commentary in Boston’s more irreverent sports media corners understandably focused on it through that lens. As in, the Masshole Sports headline was, “Mike Napoli May Or May Not Have Had Sex With A Porn Star After The Game Last Night. And If It Helps Him Hit, I Really Dont Give A Shit.” BostInno’s Kyle Clauss wrote, “If a meeting between these two would help Napoli bust his slump and ward off subsequent benchings, I would be more than willing to play matchmaker.”
Of course, Starr may just be a fan of Napoli’s flowing facial hair and nothing more to him. Although, he does follow her on Twitter so … hmm.
If the two did have a liaison, they sure weren’t live-tweeting about it. Neither made mention of the other after the game on social media. (Napoli, by the way, won a place in our “Best Red Sox Twitter feeds” for tweeting about Swamp People a lot.) Napoli probably learned from the Gronk, it’s best not to advertise your chill sesh with adult film stars if you don’t want them to start using you for embarrassing publicity stunts.
