Put Some Boston in Your Step

The Hub is a sneaker capital of sorts—New Balance, Reebok, Vibram, Converse, Puma, and Saucony all have area ties—and in 2014, two of those companies are showing their Boston pride with trainers designed for the marathon. In April, New Balance will release the Boston 890v4 super-light trainers (pictured above), which feature an image of the state and #LoveBoston on the heels. And the team at Saucony’s Lexington HQ has designed its own lucky charm: the Boston Edition Kinvara 5s, which come bedecked with shamrocks. The company will also reissue its #BostonStrong sneaker charm, with all proceeds from the sale of the $5 medallion benefiting the One Fund. —Janelle Nanos
