Patriots Receive Their Huge, Diamond-Encrusted Super Bowl Rings at Private Party
Members of the 2014 New England Patriots received their Super Bowl XLIX championship rings Sunday night at a lavish affair thrown by team owner Robert Kraft. Each ring features 205 diamonds and Belichick’s mantra, “Do your job,” as well as Kraft’s signature. Ring-maker Josten’s managed to squeeze six Lombardi Trophies onto head coach Bill Belichick’s ring, and four on quarterback Tom Brady’s.

“I have been blessed to host four Super Bowl ring ceremonies, and just like the rings we present, we have tried to make each ceremony a little bigger and a little better than the one before,” Kraft said in a statement.
At Sunday’s ceremony, Kraft even found time for a few laughs at the expense of the Patriots’ hapless AFC East rival, the New York Jets. “I still think the best trade we ever made was when I sent a first-round choice to our good friends at the New York Jets for Bill Belichick,” Kraft said.
“Thanks for your kind words. Don’t forget the seventh [round pick] we threw the Jets on that trade too,” Belichick, outfitted in brass knuckles of Super Bowl hardware, quipped.
Rings were distributed to the tune of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture.” Tight-end Rob Gronkowski couldn’t believe it.
In contrast, this whole ring business has become so routine for the Bradys, Gisele appears to be perusing Instagram.
While ESPN’s Mike Reiss reports that cornerback Darrell Revis—who signed with the Jets this offseason—had a conflict and did not attend, Vince Wilfork did. The defense tackle signed with the Houston Texans after 11 years in New England.

Brady and company capped the night with some dancing, which, like his high-fiving, remains a glaring hole in his game.
