Carly Fiorina Sure Has an Innovative Way of Pronouncing ‘Massachusetts’
Speaking in the basement of Manchester’s Millyard Museum ahead of Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, failed Hewlett-Packard CEO and Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina let slip an inventive way of pronouncing the Granite State’s neighbor to the south, Massachusetts.
“Here’s the truth about Massa-too-setts,” Fiorina when asked by a high school student about Common Core, according to Jezebel. “Some kids in Massa-too-setts get a really good education, and too many kids in Massa-too-setts get a really bad education and it has to do with where you’re growing up.”
Among the lightly attended event’s other highlights was former New Hampshire state representative Marilinda Garcia’s spirited endorsement: “She’s never made me cringe.”
Fiorina, a native Texan, is currently polling at 3 percent in New Hampshire, according to the latest poll conducted by UMass Lowell.
