Tom Brady Reportedly Appears in Hacked Donald Trump Voicemails
With Deflategate proceedings currently underway in New York City, this is hardly the story anyone expected involving a phone and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Gawker has obtained 35 voicemails reportedly hacked from Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s voicemail, which appear to reveal his coziness with the liberal media elite, including MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Tamron Hall. Though the authenticity of the voicemails has yet to be independently confirmed, the 26 minutes and 40 seconds of audio appears to also contain messages from boxing promoter Don King and Obama advisor David Axelrod.
Brady reportedly opens one message, “Donald, it’s your favorite quarterback,” and another, “Hey big guy, it’s your favorite NFL quarterback calling.” Brady’s agent, Don Yee, told Gawker that his client does not recall leaving any messages and cannot confirm their authenticity.
Brady and Trump’s friendship is well documented. Trump publicly defended No. 12’s reputation throughout Deflategate, while Brady said it’d be “great” if Trump were elected president, and prominently displayed one of Trump’s red “Make America Great Again” hats in his locker. Recently, Trump said Brady and Patriots owner Robert Kraft would formally endorse his candidacy, if asked.
