Adolfo Gonzalez Is Leaving Toucher & Rich
Adolfo Gonzalez, the lovable fourth-man on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich morning show, is leaving the program.
Gonzalez, who would prowl the streets of Boston collecting audio for some of the show’s most memorable segments like “Ask a Pink Hat” and “Drunk Bruins Recap,” announced Monday that he would be returning to school.

Gonzalez joined Toucher & Rich when he was 18, back in the show’s WBCN days. A fan favorite, Gonzalez’s departure has more than a few TNR fans crying in their morning cup o’ joe.

Whoever replaces Gonzalez will have enormous shoes to fill. His “Cherish the Memories!” bit was the finest piece of radio to emerge from the smoldering trash barge that was Bobby Valentine-led, 2012 Red Sox.
Happy trails, Adolfo.
