This Boston Cop Worked the Patriots Parade Crowd Like a Pro

As a cop working detail at the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory parade, your first job is to keep the crowd of excited fans under control. But one BPD officer in particular took things to a whole new level.
While cameras rolled on Tremont Street, one (as yet unidentified) police officer worked the crowd like a pro.
‘When I say Tom, you say Brady!’
‘Tom!’
‘Brady!’
‘Tom!’
‘Brady!’
‘When I say Patriots, you say hell yeah!’
‘Patriots!’
‘Hell yeah!’
‘Patriots!’
‘Hell yeah!’
She wrapped it up with: “When I say Falcons, you say sorry!”
Pats fan Rajinder Kumar filmed the pre-parade pep rally on her phone. “Coolest [BPD officer] ever!” Kumar wrote. “Thank you for everything you do!”
The cop’s electric performance caught the attention of the BPD, which tweeted its praise for her from its official Twitter account: “Now that’s what we call crowd control!!”

BPD spokeswoman Rachel McGuire says she isn’t sure yet who the officer is, but said it’s clear she was “doing a great job.”
Even though the crowd was, understandably, pretty worked up, there were just three arrests along the parade route this morning, McGuire says: three for disorderly conduct and one for open and gross lewdness. Otherwise things went pretty smoothly.
