MBTA to Offer All-Day Marathon Monday Commuter Rail Pass
Getting into and around Boston on Marathon Monday can be a headache. This year, the MBTA and Keolis, its commuter rail operator, hope to make things a little easier.
For the first time, riders can purchase an all-day pass for the Framingham/Worcester Line and enjoy unlimited travel along the marathon route. Cheer on runners in Ashland, make a pitstop in Wellesley, and join the crowds in Kenmore at Yawkey, all with one commemorative ticket.
“Marathon Monday is a significant day for many of our customers and it’s important to us at Keolis that we provide transportation options that enhance the experience,” Keolis acting vice president Kennon Foster said in a release. “The opportunity to see the race at multiple stages with a ticket that doubles as a keepsake will do just that.”
These commemorative tickets are on sale now at MBTA ticket windows, and will be available for purchase aboard the Framingham/Worcester Line on Marathon Monday.
