A dumpster fire was reported in Boston on Wednesday morning near the Ruggles MBTA stop on Melnea Cass Boulevard.
“Looks like a dumpster fire,” wrote Twitter user Jamie Merrill at 9:39 a.m. In it, bright red flames and dark smoke can be seen coming out of what appears to be a dumpster. Photos shared from further away show a thick gray cloud coming from the area.

MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo says it isn’t impacting service.
UniversalHub reports that arson investigators were on their way.
Coincidentally, the MBTA Orange Line was a figurative dumpster fire last night, as riders encountered severe delays and a service suspension last night due to a small electrical fire at State. The MBTA on its official Twitter account reported severe delays beginning at 9:41 p.m., a service suspension was announced at 10:21 p.m., and regular service resumed with residual delays at 11:07 p.m. Then this morning there were minor delays on the Orange Line between Oak Grove and Wellington due to a disabled train.
