Unseasonably cold temperatures and a recent bout of heavy snow were no match for the St. Patrick’s Day revelers who took to Boston’s streets to celebrate this weekend. The 117th St. Patrick’s Day Parade crawled it’s way through Southie on Sunday, complete with orange and green floats, local politicians, veterans’ groups, and a healthy smattering of Irish flags. Members of the gold medal-winning U.S. women’s ice hockey team also joined the route, according to the Boston Globewhich was shortened due to a blizzard that dumped 14.8 inches of snow on the Hub last week
