Not An April Fools Joke: Scott Brown Is Subbing for Bill O’Reilly

Scott Brown will be filling ole’ Papa Bear’s big shoes tonight when he guest hosts Fox News’s The O’Reilly Factor, according to his Twitter.

Arriving in NYC for show prep for O’Reilly. He is on vacation and I am hosting tonight 8&11PM.

Brown is a paid contributor to Fox News, but even so, people considered it an odd enough turn of events that Politico’s Dylan Byers needed to check with Brown’s communications director to discover whether the tweet was an April Fool’s joke (or a message composed by his outer thigh.) Brown’s confirmed that he is really hosting, and Brown himself tells a Boston Globe reporter that he’s “excited.” Given Brown’s rather, well, dull appearances on the network in the past, we’re curious to see how the ratings turn out with this little experiment when he’s left to carry the entire show.
