Patrice Bergeron Is a Dad Now
Two-time Selke Trophy-winning Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron and his wife Stephanie gave birth to a baby boy Wednesday. His name is Zack.
Zack is already better at hockey than you.
As Bruins president Cam Neely said 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Felger & Massarotti, Bergeron will still play in tonight’s tilt against the Philadelphia Flyers at TD Garden. After all, once you’ve played through a Stanley Cup Final with a broken rib, torn cartilage, and a separated shoulder, is a little newfound fatherhood really going to stop you?
We’d like to believe Bruins radio play-by-play man Dave Goucher was present in the delivery room shouting Bergeron! Bergeron! Bergeron!, but we were unable to confirm by press time.
Anyway, join us at The Fours in 2033 as we celebrate young Zack’s inevitable selection by the Bruins in the Entry Draft. If you can’t make it, we’ll see you at the rolling rally the next year.
