Could Tim Tebow Be the Newest Member of the Red Sox?

Unsatisfied with mediocrity in professional football and professional broadcasting, Tim Tebow has set his sights on professional baseball.
Never mind the Heisman Trophy winner last played baseball his junior year of high school. Tebow, who has been training with former major leaguer Chad Moeller, will hold a workout in Los Angeles on August 30, expected to attract scouts from at least 20 MLB teams—among them, your Boston Red Sox.

Tebow, 29, was briefly a member of the Patriots in 2013, but was released before the season began. (Worth noting here that the dearly departed Montreal Expos drafted Tom Brady in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB Draft.) Following a similarly short stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, Tebow has spent the last two seasons as a college football broadcaster for the SEC Network.
It’s unclear whether a famously God-fearing man like Tebow should want to sign with the Red Sox, a team the Big Guy seemed to take great joy in antagonizing for the better part of 86 years.
