On The Market: Apartments at The Commons SouthField
Seventy-two brand-new luxury apartments are now available for pre-lease in Weymouth, with move-ins beginning in July. The Commons on the Green, a new addition to the Commons at SouthField, has updated features and new amenities.
Though the Commons on the Green was originally designed for a more high-end clientele, the developers at SouthField are finding that many of the current SouthField Highlands residents are opting to move over to the new apartments. “They seem to be excited about living in the newest place around,” says SouthField Highlands property manager Erica Stockton.
The newly created apartments have been upgraded with new details, mainly based on feedback from those who toured or lived in the first phase of homes. Some of the additions include a pantry in the kitchen to store food, his & her sinks in the dual bedrooms, granite countertops, and bamboo flooring throughout, which is new to the area. The builders also chose as many sustainable materials as possible, as all the apartments are LEED certified with 100 percent smoke-free living, similar to the Highlands.
With a variety of rooms ranging from one to three bedrooms and townhouses, the complex has a slew of options. The townhouses are the highlight of the Commons on the Green, which Stockton expects will go quickly, with two-car garages underneath the apartment and an entrance up a flight of stairs. You can opt for one of the more standard apartments or go for one with vaulted ceilings, bay windows, or patios.
When signing an apartment at the Commons at SouthField, however, you are renting more than living space, you are getting access to the community. On the grounds, members have access to a saltwater pool with pool deck and WiFi access, workout facility, and more. The Commons on the Green specifically will have a private roof deck with electric grilling, as well as a ground-level patio with gas grills and a firepit.
Since the development opened, there has been a Whole Foods added up the street as well as an influx of businesses close to the entrance of the complex.
Just off Memorial Grove Avenue, the complex sits minutes from Route 3 and just 1/3 mile from South Weymouth MBTA Commuter Rail station access with easy access to both Boston and the South Shore.
