Luxury towers are the name of the game in Boston’s development-heavy Seaport District, and hopes are set high on mixed-use buildings promising unparalleled views and the finest amenities for a steep price tag.

Now, Fifty Liberty, part of the 21-acre Fan Pier development by The Fallon Company, joins the long list of Seaport properties to watch, with renderings released at a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday. The 14-floor, 120-unit luxury condominium building will have waterfront terraces, two shared green spaces, and apartments that range in size from studio to three-bedroom. So far, it’s been described as ultra-luxury, with design by Boston-based Elkus Manfredi Architects.

Like most of its kind, the building will have a 24-hour concierge, a large club room for residents, and an underground garage. The building also offers private shuttle service around the city, and access to an indoor/outdoor health and fitness center.

Fan Pier, spanning nine city blocks, includes green spaces and a marina, and it promises fine dining and retail spaces. The Fallon Company’s first Fan Pier residential tower, Twenty Two Liberty, had high market-demand, with units selling out six months prior to the building’s completion.

Completion of Fifty Liberty is expected in late 2017. Preliminary sales managed by Fallon are underway, and pricing has not been disclosed.
